Sampson County Government is seeking a Youth Services Co-Coordinator for the Sampson-Clinton Public Library system. This shared role involves designing imaginative programs, connecting with the community, and fostering a love of reading among children and teens.

You will work with a fellow co-coordinator and the Library Director to ensure programs and daily tasks are covered, with a 19-hour weekly schedule and core days on Thursdays and Fridays.

Join our team at the library in a shared position as a Youth Services Co-Coordinator! This is not your typical library job. In this shared role, you'll have the chance to design imaginative programs, connect with the community, and spark a lifelong love of reading and learning. You'll work alongside another enthusiastic co-coordinator and the Library Director to ensure every program, activity, and daily responsibility is covered seamlessly.

What You'll Bring

The Details
  • Shared schedule averaging 19 hours per week, coordinated with the Library Director and co-coordinator. Thursdays and Fridays will be core workdays each week, with Wednesdays typically included at least two weeks per month. Remaining hours will be scheduled on other days as needed.
  • Typical weekday hours end at 5:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays when those days are scheduled. Some later evening hours are required for special events, typically no later than 9:00 p.m.
  • Saturday hours are required as part of the shared schedule, averaging approximately 12 Saturdays per year.
  • Flexibility to work at any of the four Sampson-Clinton Public Library branches.
