Job summary

Laramie County Library System is seeking a Youth Services Assistant to provide front-line service to children and teens and their caregivers. The role supports daily operations and literacy goals across our Cheyenne location.

The position is part-time (18 hours/week) with an hourly pay range of $15.63 to $23.45, based on experience, and requires a high school diploma with some related experience. Weekend/evening availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 6 months of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with software for library operations and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming customer service to children, teens, and caregivers.
• Assist patrons with reference interviews and readers’ advisory.
• Guide patrons in using library computers and databases.
• Prepare youth areas for daily service and maintain collections knowledge.
• Support program delivery for children and teens.
