Arlington Heights Memorial Library in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Youth Services Advisor to join Kids' World and Hub teams. You'll guide youth and caregivers, plan programs, and connect the community to resources.

Part-time, about 20 hours weekly, including one weeknight and weekend rotation; on-the-job training provided, ideal for someone who loves books, youth programming, and outreach.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth and multicultural audiences.
• Experience in customer service and group instruction.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent knowledge and skill.

Responsibilities

• Help youth and caregivers find and check out books, movies, music, and games.
• Plan and present creative programs centered on popular literature or engaging learning objectives.
• Collaborate with library professionals on a variety of youth services projects.
• Support outreach visits to local schools and community events.
• Staff the Kids' World desk and the Hub, connecting customers to collections, programs, and information resources.
