Job summary

The Children’s Village seeks an Abuse Prevention Coordinator to safeguard youth in our care. You will develop and standardize data-driven systems to identify maltreatment risks and implement strategies to address them, protecting children from harm.

The role requires flexible hours and close collaboration with leadership. You should have a master’s degree (or bachelor’s with extensive relevant experience) and strong written/verbal communication skills, with knowledge of child welfare standards

Qualifications

  • Masters degree preferred, or Bachelor's degree plus five years' experience within a children's residential setting.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic milieu, quality assurance activities, goal setting, and child welfare standards.
  • Experience with survivors of abuse or preventing, detecting, or verifying abuse is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and standardize systems and processes based on data analysis to identify maltreatment risk factors.
  • Implement strategies addressing risks and protect youth from harm.
  • Work non-traditional hours as required by leadership.
