Job summary

U.S. Soccer Federation is seeking a Safeguarding Manager, Youth Engagement to lead safeguarding across youth participants and programs. This role codifies standards, builds learning, and equips staff, members, and partners to create safe environments.

With deep expertise in MAAPP, SafeSport, and related regulations, you will translate complex rules into practical guidance and scalable education. Travel as needed to support programs and partnerships nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years in safeguarding or child protection with program delivery at scale
• Experience designing and delivering learning and training frameworks (digital, blended, in-person)
• Ability to pass a background check and complete SafeSport / safeguarding training; willingness to travel
• English language proficiency

Responsibilities

• Serve as Subject-Matter Expert on youth safeguarding across regulation and best practice
• Translate regulatory change into practical internal guidance and education
• Develop safeguarding policies, codes of conduct, and operating standards
• Lead learning content development for youth participants and adults
• Collaborate with teams across Reporting and Resolution, Legal, and Membership
