Job summary

Health Care and Rehabilitation Services in Brattleboro, VT, seeks a dedicated respite/ COS worker to provide day, weekend and overnight community support for children in the Children, Youth and Family Program or Developmental Disabilities program.

You will implement interventions, coordinate with families and the team, transport clients with consent, and maintain accurate records while upholding safety, boundaries and culturally sensitive care.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of behavior management and confidentiality desirable.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with variables in community settings.

Responsibilities

• Implements interventions and activities to develop social, emotional and self-regulation skills.
• Interacts with clients, families and team members to improve communication and collaboration.
• Maintain clear boundaries with families and ensure safety.
• Provides transportation for the client with signed consents.
• Writes and keeps client records and notes updated in a timely manner.
