Job summary

YBGR seeks a Therapeutic Youth Mentor to support Montana youth as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes building healthy relationships, modeling positive behavior, and helping youths meet treatment goals through structured activities and community engagement.

Starting pay ranges from $16.19 to $18.22 per hour, with steps based on education and experience; salary reflects an 11-step pay schedule. Flexible scheduling and supervision support are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Background check including criminal record and child abuse registry.
• Driver’s license to operate a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusting, professional relationships with youth receiving mental health services.
• Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating healthy choices and appropriate boundaries.
• Support youth in achieving treatment plan goals as outlined by therapists.
• Facilitate skill-building activities focused on communication, problem-solving, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.
• Accompany youth in community settings to promote socialization and independence.
