Job summary

YBGR in Montana is seeking a Therapeutic Youth Mentor (TYM) to build resilience in the youth we serve. You will form positive, professional relationships, work with therapists and other staff, and help youth pursue their treatment goals with compassionate, client-centered care.

Starting hourly wage ranges from $16.19 to $18.22, with placement based on education and experience. Responsibilities include mentoring in schools or community settings, documenting in the EHR, ensuring safety, and

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Criminal/Child Abuse clearance as required by Montana.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Driver’s license to operate a passenger vehicle.
• Ability to build rapport with youth and maintain professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting, professional relationships with youth receiving mental health services.
• Serve as a positive role model with healthy boundaries and coping strategies.
• Support youth in achieving treatment plan goals with therapists and the team.
• Facilitate skill-building activities for communication and daily living skills.
• Document accurately in the EHR and ensure compliance with agency standards.
• Collaborate with therapists, families, and community partners for coordinated care.
• Participate in supervision, meetings, and ongoing training.
• Respond to crises and support safety using YBGR protocols.
