Job summary

YBGR in Montana is seeking a Therapeutic Youth Mentor to help youth build resilience and life skills. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized, compassionate care and support youth toward their treatment goals.

Starting salary ranges from $16.19 to $18.22 per hour, reflecting steps 1–5 of an 11-step pay schedule. This role may require evenings or weekends and some local travel, with documentation in the EHR and adherence to safety and agency policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Criminal/child abuse clearance as required by the State of Montana.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Driver’s license to operate a passenger vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain professional relationships with youth receiving mental health services.
• Serve as a positive role model with healthy boundaries and coping strategies.
• Support youth in achieving treatment plan goals with therapists and the team.
• Document accurately in the EHR to agency standards.
• Collaborate with therapists, families, and community partners for coordinated care.
• Participate in supervision, meetings, and ongoing training.
• Remain aware of cultural and socioeconomic factors affecting youth and families.
