Job summary

YBGR in Montana seeks a Therapeutic Youth Mentor (TYM) to build resilience and life skills in youth receiving mental health services. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, professional care and support treatment goals.

Starting salary range $16.19–$18.22 per hour, with steps on an 11-step pay scale; starting pay based on education and experience. This full-time role may require evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass criminal and child abuse background checks.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusting, professional relationships with youth receiving mental health services.
• Demonstrate healthy choices, appropriate boundaries, and coping strategies as a positive role model.
• Support youth in achieving treatment plan goals with therapists and the team.
• Facilitate skill-building activities: communication, problem-solving, emotional regulation, daily living skills.
• Accompany youth in community settings to promote socialization and independence.
