Job summary

Albertina Kerr in Cornelius, OR is seeking an Assistant Program Manager for a youth residential group home. You will support youth ages 10-17 with IDD and mental health challenges, assist the Program Manager with staff supervision and budget oversight, and foster a respectful, empowering environment.

The role is a day shift, Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:00 pm with occasional on-call weekends. On-call compensation is provided; driving eligibility and physical readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals who have developmental disabilities or related fields.
• Familiar with medication usage and side effects.
• Strong math, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions in response to incidents as they arise.
• Ability to meet driving requirements including license and DMV verification.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and push/pull 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Train, schedule and provide peer support to diverse staff.
• Maintain a safe, cooperative work environment with teamwork.
• Provide motivation and feedback to staff and address conflicts.
• Monitor training, incident reports, ISP goals, BSPs or other documents.
• Fill in to ensure staffing ratios and mentor staff as needed.
• Assist Program Manager with finances for clients and budget.
• Build relationships with community and governmental agencies.
• Participate in licensing reviews and plans of improvement.
• Interact with clients respectfully to empower personal choice.
