Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers is hiring Youth Congregate Residential Counselors in New Hampshire to support middle and high school students with emotional and behavioral challenges. This role focuses on mentoring, coaching, and helping youth build essential life skills.

The position offers a consistent 4-day work week with three days off, and a range of benefits including meals on shift, PTO, holidays, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Meet one of the following pathways: 2 years of full‑time experience with children, 7 years of parenting, or an associate’s degree with at least 12 credits in human services.

Responsibilities

• Build mentoring relationships with youth.
• Support daily routines and skill-building.
• Coach youth in emotional regulation and positive decision-making.
• Participate in recreational and outdoor activities.
• Work as part of a supportive team; crises are handled with team support.
