Job summary

The State of Nebraska is hiring for a Youth Counselor Supervisor in Hastings, NE. You will manage a living unit for adolescent females, supervise staff, and coordinate treatment services to ensure safety and progress toward treatment goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, behavioral sciences, human services or related field.
• Two years of related experience in youth care, residential setting, rehabilitation or treatment services OR six years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, directs, and evaluates Youth Program Specialist II staff, including personnel actions for selection, promotions, disciplinary procedures, performance, grievances and work assignments.
• Oversee living unit for adolescent female youth (approximately 12 youth).
• Trains staff in agency and facility policies, processes, rules and regulations and ensures required staff training is complete.
• Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly staff meetings.
• Oversee youth treatment services including assessment, classification, coordination and evaluation of resources.
• Coordinate treatment objectives with other activities and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Handle on-call responsibilities and contribute to parole discharge planning.

Education
