Job summary

Arbor Circle in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a full-time youth services worker to provide quality, youth-centered care in a short-term shelter setting. The role involves crisis intervention, screening, assessment, counseling and case management to support at-risk youth and young adults.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field, a valid driver's license, willingness to work 2nd shift and some weekends, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social work or related field is required.
• Valid Driver's license and clean driving record are required.
• Must be flexible with scheduling including 2nd shift and some weekends.

• Provide quality, youth-centered care in a short-term shelter setting.

Job description

Provide quality, youth centered care that facilitate a safe and successful trajectory for youth/young adults ages who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. Services are provided in a short-term shelter setting and include crisis intervention, screening, assessment, counseling and case management. Positive outcomes are achieved through purposeful and respectful relationships rooted in trauma informed care, hope and evidence-based research.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social work or related field.
• Proven experience working with children & family diverse populations required.
• Valid Drivers license and clean driving record required.
• Flexible Availability
• Ability to work 2nd shift
• Ability to occasionally work on other shifts for supervision, training and shift coverage
• This full time position is required to work some (not all weekends)

Compensation Information

• 3rd Shift and Weekend shift hours will be paid a $1.00 per hour premium above the regular hourly wage.
