Job summary

Arbor Circle in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Youth Residential Counselor for 3rd shift. You will provide youth-centered care in a short-term shelter setting, including crisis intervention, screening, assessment, counseling, and case management to support at-risk youth.

This regular full-time role requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field, a valid driver's license, and flexible availability to work an A/B rotation and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field is required.
• Proven experience working with children & family diverse populations.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Flexible availability and ability to work 2nd shift and rotate.
• Willingness to work some weekends and adhere to A/B schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, youth-centered care in a shelter setting, including crisis intervention, screening, assessment, counseling, and case management.
• Build trauma-informed, empathetic relationships to support positive outcomes for youth/young adults.
• Participate in supervision, training, and shift coverage as needed.

Salary Range: $18.00 To $22.00 Annually

Provide quality, youth-centered care that facilitates a safe and successful trajectory for youth/young adults who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. Services are provided in a short-term shelter setting and include crisis intervention, screening, assessment, counseling, and case management. Positive outcomes are achieved through purposeful and respectful relationships rooted in trauma-informed care, hope, and evidence-based research.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social work or related field.

• This full-time position is required to work some (not all weekends)
• The schedule follows an A/B rotation:
  • Schedule A: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • Schedule B: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday

Compensation Information

• 3rd Shift and Weekend shift hours will be paid a $1.00 per hour premium above the regular hourly wage.
