Job summary

The Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) is seeking a Juvenile Rehabilitation Counselor 1 (JRC1) for Echo Glen Children’s Center in Snoqualmie. You will support counseling services, manage a youth caseload, and help plan transitions back into the community.

You’ll assist with treatment and intervention programs, supervise living unit activities, and participate in group therapy sessions while maintaining safety and welfare of residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or a combination of education/experience totaling at least four years.
• Two years of college education + two years of experience as Juvenile Rehabilitation Security Officer.
• Or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Assist counselors with case management, transition and reentry planning, counseling, and treatment services.
• Supervise an assigned caseload of youth for program compliance.
• Co-facilitate DBT and CBT groups.
• Perform routine security duties and wellness checks.
• Organize youth activities and supervise meals and movement between areas.
