Job summary

County of Los Angeles seeks a qualified candidate for an emergency Youth Development Supervisor to oversee Youth Development Coordination for justice-involved youth under the Reentry Branch. The role leads holistic coordination strategies, prioritizes access to services, and builds partnerships to advance decarceration and successful reintegration.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience working directly with youth in service-oriented environments.
• Experience supervising a team or project.
• Experience in care coordination and systems navigation.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a team of Youth Development Specialists and Ambassadors to develop, implement, and manage program and policy initiatives.
• Oversees collaborative development and design of programs, policies, and systems to ensure effective service delivery.
• Oversees protocols and implementation plans to operationalize and improve program and policy initiatives.
• Liaises between community-based partners, departmental leadership, and administrative staff to ensure effective contracting, invoicing, and contract management.
• Identifies and creates opportunities for mentorship and professional development to support teams and increase equity.
• Facilitates and manages resources for community-based organizations and engages partners in capacity-building.
