Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs Of The Valley in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a part-time Social Recreation Specialist for the Diamondbacks branch. You will supervise Club members, deliver quality social recreation activities, and align with the organization's mission and values.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Passion for working with youth.
Ability to multitask and adapt to Club’s changing needs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and cooperative working skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite and comfortable with new technology.
If 21 or older, maintains a valid driver’s license.
Safety oriented mindset.
CPR and First Aid certifications recommended.

Responsibilities

Develops, organizes, and facilitates programs and activities using a formal curriculum.
Directly runs programming and high‑yield activities in the assigned area.
Facilitate diverse social and recreational programs that foster teamwork and inclusivity.
Plan and coordinate special events and youth tournaments.
Administers outcome measurement tools.
Delivers programs with enthusiastic, high-energy, positive attitude.
