State of Georgia’s Department of Juvenile Justice seeks a Parks Program Worker for Elbert Shaw RYDC in Dalton, GA. This hourly, part-time role provides structured recreation and leisure activities for youths and requires documenting activities and coordinating monthly calendars.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or completion of a vocational/technical school program in the area of assignment.
• One year experience in the area of assignment.
• Experience in recreation or coaching is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides a program of structured recreation and leisure activities for youths in an assigned facility.
• Document all programmatic activities and perform duties related to the job.
• Plan and coordinate a monthly recreational and leisure calendar for the facility population.
