Job summary

Adams and Associates at the Atterbury Job Corps Center in Edinburgh, IN is seeking a Recreation Advisor who can bring the Center's recreation program to life. You will create opportunities for students to build friendships, develop leadership, and stay healthy through diverse, well-organized activities.

You will supervise and coordinate activities, partner with community resources, and ensure safety while maintaining facilities and documenting participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates of Arts Degree or 1-year related experience working with youth required.
• Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements; CDL preferred.
• Physical requirements include lifting 40 pounds and performing tasks such as standing, climbing, walking, pulling/pushing, and crouching.

Responsibilities

• Help supervise a comprehensive and diverse recreation program for students
• Coordinate recreation activities with CPP and Social Development, including evening programming
• Partner with local community resources to expand recreation and leadership activities
• Ensure safe practices and compliance with program safety guidelines
• Document student participation and accountability during recreation activities
• Maintain inventory of equipment and materials, recommend purchases, and perform basic repairs as needed
• Oversee the overall appearance, condition, and organization of recreation facilities
• May oversee the student recreation aide program
