Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. seeks a Recreation Advisor for our Glenmont Job Corps Center in New York. You will supervise center activities, promote positive behavior, and mentor students to develop life and career skills in a youth-focused environment.

The role requires an in-state driver's license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Advanced degrees are a plus; prior Job Corps or similar experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is REQUIRED.
• In-State Driver's License is REQUIRED.
• Advanced degrees are PREFERRED.
• Experience with Job Corps or similar youth program is PREFERRED.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate center activities to ensure a safe, structured, and supportive student environment.
• Promote positive student behavior and engagement with staff.
• Monitor campus safety, respond to incidents, and enforce policies.
• Provide mentorship to students, helping them develop life and career skills.
• Work with different departments to maintain a productive, goal-oriented atmosphere.
