Job summary

Jonathan Club in Santa Monica seeks a Youth Recreation Attendant to support and run children's activities, supervise safety, and participate in member events.

This role requires weekend work and at least one year of childcare experience; you’ll foster a welcoming, family-friendly environment while engaging with diverse members and activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in working with children.
• Ability to maintain excellent relations with co-workers.
• Ability to focus and maintain attention to performance of tasks despite frequent stressful, emergency, critical or unusual interruptions.
• Available to work weekends, holidays and other special events in the summer.

The Youth Recreation Attendant is responsible for the following:

• Any time that children do not wish to participate in scheduled activities, encourage a different activity (game boards, volleyball, playground, etc.).

Requirements

1. Must work weekends. Any and all exceptions should be made by Office Manager.

2. A minimum of one year experience in working with children.

3. Ability to maintain excellent relations with co-workers.

4. Ability to focus and maintain attention to performance of tasks despite frequent stressful, emergency, critical or unusual interruptions.

5. Available to work weekends, holidays and other special events in the summer.

6. Ability to sit, walk, stand, lift, reach, pull, and grasp.

Pay Rate: $18.47/hour
