Job summary

Douglas County Community Services in Nevada seeks a Recreation Aide to help run youth recreation activities at the Valley location. This is a safety sensitive position with drug and alcohol screening.

Positions are 19 hours or less per week; benefits do not apply. Must be 16+ and have experience with children; First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogen, CPR, and AED

Qualifications

• Experience working with children
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Ability to work in an energetic, active environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in conduct of recreation activities at assigned facilities.
• Lead games and craft activities and interact with participants.
• Monitor youth safety and assist with setup/cleanup of facilities.
• Prepare supplies and materials for programs; assist with snacks.
• Greet participants and parents; assist with equipment and seating as needed.
• Operate audiovisual equipment when required; participate in trainings and staff meetings.
