Job summary

The Youth Peer Specialist (YPSS) position at Sanilac CMH supports youth with serious emotional disturbances in their recovery journey. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Peer Specialist must actively pursue DCH certification as a Peer Support Specialist within 12 months.
• DCH Group Home Certification required within first three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support youth in achieving recovery goals through one-on-one or group sessions.
• Assist youth in developing skills to improve functioning and quality of life.
• Collaborate with treatment teams and participate in staff meetings.
• Provide trainings on recovery and peer supports as needed.
