Job summary

The YMCA of Honolulu is seeking a Site Coordinator to oversee the School Age Childcare and DOE A+ Afterschool Programs under the Youth Director. You will ensure safe, caring, and enriching environments for children, while adhering to YMCA and DOE policies.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, developing engaging activities, coordinating scheduling, and maintaining facilities. A 2-year college degree or higher is preferred, and you must be at least 20 years old.

Qualifications

• At least 20 years of age.
• Associates/Bachelor’s Degree (or two years of college coursework) in recreation, education, social work, or other related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Youth Directors with overall program operation and supervision of participants.
• Research and develop new programs, workshops, and activities for school-age childcare.
• Communicate effectively with participants, parents, co-workers, and DOE/DHS contacts.
• Lead Youth Leaders and Volunteers in training and development.
• Schedule and secure proper staff coverage and communicate challenges to the Program Director.
• Ensure facilities, equipment, and supplies are maintained and organized.
• Assist with YMCA Annual Campaign and program information distribution.
