Job summary

The YMCA of Honolulu is hiring a Site Coordinator to oversee school-age childcare and DOE A+ Afterschool Programs. You will ensure safety, quality, and adherence to all policies while fostering positive youth development.

Under the Youth Director, you’ll lead staff, coordinate activities, build partnerships with families, and support program goals. The role offers hourly pay, a student-friendly environment, and opportunities for growth within the YMCA family.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in recreation, education, social work, or related field preferred.
• Experience supervising youth programs and staff is valued.
• Ability to develop and implement engaging activities for school-age children.
• Strong communication skills with parents, staff, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Assist with overall program operation and supervision of participants.
• Develop and implement new programs and activities for youth development.
• Communicate professionally with participants, parents, and DOE/DHS contacts.
• Lead staff and volunteers, provide training and support.
• Schedule staff coverage and adhere to program policies.
