Job summary

The YMCA of Honolulu is seeking a Site Coordinator in Pearl City to oversee school-age childcare and DOE A+ afterschool programs. You will ensure a safe, caring, and enriching environment and uphold YMCA, DOE, and partner policies.

Responsibilities include supervising staff and volunteers, developing engaging activities, communicating with families and partners, and maintaining facilities and safety standards. A related degree or coursework is preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of youth work and working with school-age children.
• Ability to supervise and manage program staff and volunteers.
• Strong communication with participants, parents, and partners.
• Reliable, organized, and able to meet program goals and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist Youth Directors with overall program operation and supervision.
• Develop new activities and workshops aligned with Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
• Communicate effectively with participants, families, and DOE/DHS contacts.
• Lead and train Youth Leaders and staff, providing growth opportunities.
• Schedule staff coverage and coordinate with the Program Director on challenges.
