Job summary

Lake View YMCA in Chicago is seeking a School Aged Program Manager to lead daily operations of school aged and youth enrichment programs and summer day camp. You will guide program delivery, enrollments, and member experiences while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Recreation Management, Education, or related field.
• 1–3 years experience in youth and family programming with at least 2 years supervision or team leadership.
• Meets credentialing requirements for DCFS licensing, where applicable.
• Commitment to YMCA mission and community impact.
• Strong leadership, planning and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new technology.
• Meet physical qualifications and be able to register with Gateways Registry.

Responsibilities

• Increase member/participant connection and commitment to YMCA programs and ensure a high-quality experience.
• Manage program enrollment, budget, and financial performance to meet goals.
• Lead, coach, and develop staff and volunteers for safe, engaging services.
• Coordinate with cross-team partners to deliver a welcoming and safe environment.
• Support operations to maintain clean, well-run facilities and integrity of programming.
