Job summary

Lake View YMCA in Chicago is hiring a full-time School Aged Program Manager to oversee the daily operations of school-aged and youth enrichment programs and summer day camp.

You will provide operational leadership for day camp, school-aged programming and youth enrichment, ensure safe, high-quality programming, drive enrollment goals, member experience and budget adherence, and develop staff performance. A strong team environment and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Recreation Management, Education, or related field.
• 1 to 3 years or more experience in youth and family programming with 2+ years in supervision.
• Meets credentialing requirements for DCFS licensing, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Increases member/participant connection and commitment to YMCA programs and ensures the member/participant experience is consistent with YMCA goals.
• Coaches, trains and develops staff to optimize performance and enhance member experience.
• Manages program budget, forecasting revenue and expenses to meet financial targets.
• Ensures safety and a welcoming, clean center that aligns with YMCA standards.
