Job summary

The Richard A. Mola Public Library in Elmwood Park seeks an experienced Youth Services Librarian to lead and grow programs for children, tweens, and teens.

Qualifications

• Requires MLS from an ALA-accredited program.
• Must possess or be able to obtain the New Jersey Public Librarian’s Certificate.
• Certified educators or MLS students with youth literacy experience are considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain children’s materials.
• Plan and implement a calendar of programs for infants to teens.
• Conduct story time, crafts, and educational sessions.
• Expand learning experiences with speakers and performers.
• Provide reference and readers’ advisory services for various ages.
