Job summary

Moorestown Library in Moorestown, New Jersey, is seeking a dynamic Youth Services Librarian to energize our children's programming and services. This 35-hour-per-week position includes one weekend per month.

Responsibilities include answering reference questions, developing and conducting programs for young children, and planning community outreach. A Master’s degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program is required; students nearing completion may apply.

Responsibilities

• Answer reference and reader’s advisory questions from patrons of all ages.
• Develop and conduct programming and events with a focus on programming for young children
• Participate in planning and facilitating community outreach
• Promote the department’s programming through flyers, posters and library calendar entries
• Assist with collection development
