Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley is hiring a Part-Time Youth Development Associate at the North Ridge Crossing location. You will lead hands-on activities, post weekly plans for families, and help create meaningful experiences that spark imagination and learning among youth.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and community impact, with responsibilities ranging from activity planning to volunteer supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience with youth preferred.
• Must pass local, state and national background checks.
• Must pass initial drug screening and subsequent tests.
• CPR certification offered post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Post weekly plans for parents/guardians and youth.
• Encourage full participation in activities.
• Identify alternative activities to match weekly plans.
• Supervise program areas to ensure safety.
• Attend staff meetings and collaborate with Club team.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Club.
• Provide meals to youth per USDA standards.
• Supervise youth on school buses.
• Create bulletin boards for youth.
• Orient volunteers to the Club and opportunities.
• Oversee volunteers serving within the Club.
