Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley operates the Haslam Family Club and seeks a Part-Time Youth Development Associate to lead hands-on activities, spark learning, and foster connection with youth. This role emphasizes creativity, teamwork, and community engagement.

You will plan weekly activities, supervise youth in program areas, and support volunteers while ensuring safety and inclusive experiences for children across ages and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience with youth preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stay active for 6+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Post weekly plans for parents/guardians and youth.
• Encourage full participation in activities.
• Supervise and monitor program areas to ensure safety of members.
• Provide meals to youth per USDA standards.
• Orient volunteers to the Club and oversee volunteers.
• Attend Club programs, field trips, and events.
