Job summary

The Salvation Army Houston Northwest Corps in Houston, Texas is seeking a Youth Development Professional to plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities for the Boys & Girls Club priority areas: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship.

You will work with club members and families, oversee events, maintain records, and coordinate programs while adhering to safety and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; experience with children/youth preferred.
• Commitment to participate in BGCA Spillett Training (20 credit hours).
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities.
• Oversee special programs and events (e.g., Keystone, Youth of the Year).
• Provide supervision to other Youth Development Professionals when needed to ensure continuity of services.
• Build professional relationships with members and families to advance the mission.
