Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston in Wharton, TX seeks an Entry-Level Youth Programs Coordinator for the Dobson Club. The role plans, implements and evaluates activities across education, athletics, arts, and games to foster healthy member relationships.

You will guide youth, coordinate daily drop-in activities, recruit volunteers, and engage parents while ensuring safety and a supportive club environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years experience working with youth and families required.
• Demonstrated ability and interest in working with youth required.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written required. Bi-lingual, English/Spanish is a plus.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) required.
• Must be able to interpret Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, Inc. programs and philosophy.
• Valid Texas driver’s license preferred (may be required at some Club locations).
• Must adhere to the BGCGH Employee Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates all programs and activities in core areas.
• Develop and foster healthy relationships with all members.
• Plan, organize and implement noncompetitive programs for drop-in members daily.
• Recruit, train and manage volunteers; provide feedback and development opportunities.
• Engage parents regarding opportunities and participation; participate in staff meetings.
• Maintain safe, productive environment and manage facilities and supplies.
