Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston is seeking an Entry Level Youth Programs Assistant at Spring Oaks Middle Club in Houston, TX. This part-time role focuses on planning, supervising, and evaluating youth activities across education, arts, crafts, and technology, while promoting safety and positive relationships.

You will recruit and work with volunteers, coordinate with the Club Director, engage parents, and help ensure a welcoming, productive environment for members every day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience working with youth and families.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise and evaluate programs in core areas (education, athletics, arts & crafts, technology, games room).
• Develop healthy relationships with members and foster a safe, engaging club environment.
• Plan, organize and implement a range of noncompetitive activities for drop-in youth daily.
• Identify opportunities for new programs to benefit members and promote participation.
• Monitor program outcomes and adjust activities to meet member needs; attend weekly staff meetings.
• Recruit, train and manage volunteers; provide feedback and development opportunities.
