Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati seeks a Program Coordinator to plan, supervise, and execute high-impact programs for members across BGCGC models. You will recruit and retain participants, build external partnerships, and ensure delivery of an engaging club experience.

The role emphasizes academic achievement within Graduate, Fit for Life, Ready to Serve programs, with staff supervision, data tracking, and coordination of volunteers and interns to support daily activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with young people in a positive manner.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to lead program staff (prior experience a plus).
• Strong time management and project prioritization skills.
• Experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising programs based on the developmental needs of young people is desired.
• CPR, First Aid, and Child Abuse Prevention certification required (training will be provided).
• Possess strong technology skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the developmental learning stages of children.
• Experience in providing educational programs for youth.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with feeder schools.
• Ability to effectively handle the discipline of Club members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fun and age-appropriate academic programming daily for youth (K-8).
• Continually evaluate the effectiveness of all academic programming and coordinate volunteers.
• Track member participation and participate in weekly staff meetings.
• Support BGCGC mission, vision, and youth development philosophy.
• Lead programs and manage supplies to implement daily activities.
• Increase visibility of programs by posting schedules and communicating with parents and schools.
• Ensure YPQI tool is used effectively and training is provided.
• Establish relationships with feeder schools and develop community partnerships.
