Job summary

Colonial Heights, City of seeks a Youth Program Coordinator in the Office on Youth & Human Services to plan and coordinate preventive and diversion programs in schools, community, and courts. You will lead youth programs, recruit/train staff, and partner with schools and agencies to provide positive youth engagement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or Associate's Degree with related experience.
• Bachelor's Degree and 3–5 years related experience.
• Master's Degree with at least 2 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and implements youth prevention and diversion programs.
• Provides leadership and staff to support youth groups and programs.
• Recruits and trains staff and volunteers.
• Monitors and supervises part-time staff and volunteers.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to promote youth involvement.
• Develops and implements special programs as needed.
• Prepares needs assessments, reports, and newsletters.
• Prepares progress reports to parents, teachers, and counselors.
• Develops newsletters, flyers, and news releases.
• Serves on teams and boards aligned with youth resources.
