Job summary

Alpha School is seeking a Lead Guide—Youth Program Manager—to build and lead a high-performance team across select campuses, including Raleigh, NC. This role focuses on coaching Guides, delivering engaging life skills workshops, and motivating students to achieve ambitious learning goals in a non-traditional K-12 model.

You will drive culture, accountability, and continuous improvement, helping open new campuses and ensure exceptional student experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or related leadership role.
• Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people, including hiring and performance decisions.
• Experience using data to drive performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Guides to deliver exceptional student experiences while maintaining high standards.
• Lead life skills workshops developing communication, leadership, focus and real-world skills for K-12 students.
• Motivate students to achieve ambitious learning goals and progress in self-directed programs.
• Use data, observation and coaching conversations to improve Guide performance and student outcomes.
• Help launch and establish new Alpha campuses by building a culture of excellence and accountability.
