Job summary

Alpha School is seeking a Lead Guide to build high-performing teams and coaches who empower students to excel. This on-site role focuses on coaching Guides, delivering engaging life skills workshops, and maintaining uncompromising standards for student success across select campuses including Hartford.

You will drive performance using data, support new campus openings, and lead teams of five or more, shaping a new model for K-12 learning. Excellent leadership and public speaking are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field is required or preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in education, coaching, or leadership roles.
• Experience leading teams of five or more; hiring and performance decisions.
• Proven ability to use data to drive performance improvements.
• Experience with youth ages 5–14 in educational or coaching settings.

Responsibilities

• Coach Guides to deliver exceptional student experiences while upholding Alpha's standards.
• Lead life skills workshops to develop communication, leadership, focus, and real-world skills for K-12 students.
• Motivate students to achieve ambitious learning goals in self-directed programs.
• Use data and coaching conversations to improve Guide performance and student outcomes.
• Support launches and openings of new Alpha campuses by building a culture of excellence and accountability.
