Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains in Brookings, SD is seeking a Lead Youth Development Professional to design and run daily youth programming. You will supervise youth, coach staff, and ensure a safe, engaging Club environment that supports development and positive behavior.

You’ll provide real-time feedback, model Club values, and collaborate with supervisors on goals and improvements while maintaining documentation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid CPR certification or ability to obtain CPR within 90 days.
• Commitment to working four days a week and summer schedules.
• Ability to follow Club safety policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of daily programs and events.
• Supervise youth, coaching staff and volunteers with on-the-spot feedback.
• Uphold safety standards, document attendance and incidents.
• Foster engagement, belonging, and healthy peer relationships.
• Collaborate with supervisor on goals and program improvements.
