Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions in Houston, TX, seeks an Eligibility Coordinator to support the WIOA Youth program by verifying enrollment eligibility and documenting case files. You will interview customers, determine eligibility, coordinate with education partners, and ensure compliance with policies while using the WIT system.

This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to navigate multiple programs.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent years of case management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Familiarity with workforce programs (SNAP, TANF, WIOA, NCP, RESEA, TAA, SEAL).
• Able to work independently and be reliable.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers with enrollment in federally funded services.
• Works with cross-functional teams to explain services and labor market information.
• Coordinates outreach with Adult Education/Literacy partners, schools, and employers.
• Interviews customers to assess training needs and eligibility.
• Determines eligibility per local, state, and federal policies.
• Collects and verifies documentation and performs data entry.
• Provides alternatives for ineligible individuals.
• Notes eligibility determinations clearly in counselor records.
• Ensures eligibility criteria and documentation are accurate.
• Adheres to guidelines and completes enrollment steps.
