LifeSTEPS is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator in San Jose, CA. The role supports after-school education for youth ages 5–17 in affordable housing communities, coordinating activities and resources under the Regional Director of Social Services.

The position involves implementing programs, ensuring safety, and assisting residents with homework and enrichment activities. Requires high school diploma and relevant experience; bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth ages 5–17.
• Proven classroom management for small and large groups.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and coordinate after-school activities and programs.
• Work with the Director of Social Services to support residents in LifeSTEPS housing communities.
• Provide a caring, safe space for children after school and assist with homework/academic enrichment.
