Job summary

The Quincy Kroc Center is seeking a Youth Programs Assistant to support after school programs, day camps, and youth enrichment activities. You will help plan, implement, and monitor activities, assist youth staff, communicate with parents, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.

This role also involves organizing supplies, maintaining records, transporting youth when needed, and collaborating with volunteers to deliver engaging experiences for children and families in our community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with children in recreational, educational, childcare, after school, or camp setting.
• Ability to administer medications following training and established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparing, and implementing youth programs.
• Organize supplies, materials, and activity spaces.
• Safely transport youth and supplies using Salvation Army vehicles per DOT rules.
• Support staff and volunteers.
• Maintain attendance records and registrations.
• Enroll participants and manage records.
• Create and distribute program schedules and communications.
• Serve as secondary contact for parents regarding updates.
