Job summary

The Quincy Kroc Center, part of The Salvation Army, is seeking a Youth Programs Assistant to support afterschool programs, day camps, and youth enrichment activities.

You will help plan engaging activities, assist youth staff, communicate with parents, maintain program records, and help ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care. This is a mission-driven team focused on community impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
• Experience working with children in recreational, educational, or camp settings.
• Ability to transport youth when required and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparing, and implementing youth programs and day camps.
• Organize supplies, materials, and activity spaces.
• Safely transport youth using Salvation Army vehicles and comply with DOT rules.
• Support staff and volunteers, communicate with parents, and maintain records.
• Administer medications when trained and needed, following procedures.
