Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required with two years’ work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar youth organization.
• Demonstrated member and staff supervision skills and ability to market programs, activities and events.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; computer literacy in Windows and Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, implement and maintain administration of a broad range of Club programs and activities in Character & Leadership, Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, Arts and Sports, Fitness and Recreation.
• Create and sustain program procedures and guidelines and high quality standards of practice.
• Oversee day-to-day programming in line with criteria and goals.
• Provide guidance and discipline to members while encouraging participation in programs.
• Ensure program staff understand and communicate standards and safety practices.
• Ensure program evaluations address outcomes and are analyzed to drive effectiveness.
• Control program expenditures within approved budget.
• Direct work assignments of volunteers and staff; provide ongoing feedback and training opportunities.
• Maintain proper records and reporting of activities, attendance and achievements.
• Engage in community outreach to promote programs and partnerships.
• Develop partnerships with parents and community leaders.
• Perform other incidental duties as required.
