Job summary

Boys & Girls Club Of Greater Northwest Indiana is seeking a Part-time Kidstop Site Assistant in Valparaiso, IN. The role supports daily supervision, program planning, and tracking outcomes to promote youth development, creativity, and physical activity.

You will mentor youth, encourage participation, and assist with homework while ensuring a safe, inclusive facility across multiple school sites in the area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some college education preferred.
• Experience with youth, especially elementary school age.
• Knowledge of youth development and Boys & Girls Clubs preferred.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Ability to communicate with youth, parents, staff, volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation, planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcome-based programs and activities.
• Actively encourage member participation in all programs, events, and activities.
• Administer and track grant-funded programs, ensuring required documentation and reporting are accurate and submitted on time.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment focused on well-being and development of all members.
• Provide guidance and constructive feedback to members while recognizing achievements.
• Serve as a tutor and academic support resource by assisting with homework and school assignments.
• Lead activities focused on education, arts and crafts, recreation, and physical fitness.
• Assist the Coordinator in maintaining safety, cleanliness, and proper operation of the facility and equipment.
• Address behavioral concerns positively and document incidents and achievements for reporting.
