Job summary

Save the Family Foundation of Arizona is seeking a Youth Activities Coordinator to design and lead engaging programs that foster growth, teamwork, and resilience among youth in our community.

You will organize activities such as art projects and STEM challenges, coordinate outreach, and maintain child records in Salesforce while ensuring a welcoming environment. A high school diploma and 2+ years working with youth are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of two years of experience working in a paid role with school aged children.
• Must be able to work outside of traditional office hours and occasional weekends as needed.
• Prior experience working with children who have behavioral or emotional support needs is preferred.
• Some experience in the non-profit sector is preferred.
• Prior experience managing and/or working with volunteers is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• English language proficiency (spoken, reading and writing).
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and clean driving record required.
• Be 21 years of age or older for liability insurance requirements.
• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card OR eligibility for a Level One Clearance Card.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead activities (art, STEM, homework assistance).
• Provide community outreach for youth in education, recreation, and self-development.
• Develop seasonal activity calendars balancing fun, learning, and skill-building.
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment for all participants.
• Document program activities for yearly reports and funding; include youth assessments.
• Mentor youth and model positive behavior.
• Maintain knowledge of community resources for youth.
• Complete paperwork and maintain youth files in Salesforce.
• Manage youth programs and work with families to meet case plan goals.
• Adhere to STF and ARM policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed.
