Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Parents’ Morning/Night Out Attendant to provide a safe, engaging environment for children ages 2–14, plan developmentally appropriate activities, and model YMCA values.

Under the direction of the Program Director, you will supervise groups, coordinate activities, ensure safety, participate in trainings, and collaborate with staff and families to support learning and well-being.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ preferred; 16–17 considered with extensive youth-program experience.
• Previous experience with children, preferably in a day camp.
• Experience in songs/music, skits, sports, aquatics, or recreational games.
• CPR, First Aid, AED and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with diverse populations preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a group of children ages 2–14.
• Plans and implements developmentally appropriate activities aligned with YMCA values.
• Demonstrates caring, patience, and willingness to participate with children.
• Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings.
• Follows YMCA policies, safety procedures, and child-abuse prevention guidelines.
• Maintains positive relations with parents and staff; models listening skills.
• Adheres to Metro Atlanta YMCA policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
