Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Parents’ Morning/Night Out Attendant to provide a safe, engaging environment for children ages 2-14 under the guidance of the Program Director.

Responsibilities include planning activities, modeling YMCA values, and communicating with parents. Candidates should be 18+ with child-care experience and current CPR/First Aid; background check and drug testing are required.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older; 16–17 may be considered with extensive youth program experience.
• Previous experience with children, preferably in day camp or similar activities.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and child abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire.
• MUST PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST AND BACKGROUND CHECK.
• Experience with diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a group of children ages 2-14.
• Plans and implements program activities that are engaging and safe.
• Demonstrates caring, patience, and willingness to participate with children.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings.
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including safety and emergencies.
• Maintains positive relations with parents and other staff.
